Bad experience with fans and parts
Very bad experience with this fan clutch on a 98 GMC C1500 5.7L Vortec L31. In winter the truck overheats to over 200 F! Also with a 160 degree thermostat. I changed the fan, hoses, water pump and cleaned the radiator and the temp went up. I tried spinning the fan and surprisingly it spun with no effort! This means the clutch is not working properly. I ended up installing an old fan clutch and everything was back to normal as before with very low temperatures at 158. This clutch would ruin my engine.
