I have a Canon EOS Rebel t5 which I researched before buying this MANUAL 85mm lens. I already have a 75-300mm lens with manual mode which I prefer. Anyway, if you're looking for a portrait lens with impeccable clarity and sharpness, I recommend this lens to start with. You will not be disappointed! However, if you haven't looked into manual focus lenses before, I recommend you do so or buy a lens that has both AF and MF options. But I can say that this lens did me no harm regardless of the time of day.
- Warning: This is a MANUAL lens, no electronic contacts, the camera does not recognize the lens when it is installed and therefore shows an incorrect connection. Please switch to MF MODE to use this lens properly. Tips for using our manual lens: 1) Set the mode dial to Manual (M). 2) Set the "Release without lens" option in the camera menu to "Enable". 3) Set "Shutter lock" to "Off: no lens" in the camera menu.
