Great travel cot on travel cots

We bought this about 4 months ago in anticipation of our last holiday. We don't have a Pak n' Play and I had no intention of buying it. As soon as the Jovial arrived, I put it up in the living room from time to time so that the little lady could get used to it. She knew immediately what it was for (she was in kindergarten and they slept on crib mattresses on the floor), but she never napped or slept on it, even though it was lying on it. The first night of vacation she fell out 3 times (she's no higher than 1 foot off the floor), the next night (the new room) twice, and after that she didn't fall out again. Full disclosure - the first three nights we let her fall asleep on our bed before putting her in a crib. I will say we stayed in a room with two queen beds and after some trial and error I put the crib in the space between the two beds and used pillows to fill any gaps around the crib. Given that my daughter still sleeps in the crib, I think she did a great job with the crib and got used to it in just a few days. She already knew the crib and loved it, but now I think she loves it even more because it's her own bed. She moves around a lot when she sleeps, so having the crib wedged between the beds allowed her to move around and still feel safe. She is 20 months old, 23 pounds, 34 inches. I would definitely recommend this crib for children who are already sleeping in converted cribs or toddler beds. If your baby is still in the cradle (like mine) then I would introduce them a few months before the big trip. I also like that it is very portable and compact. They could probably fit in a large suitcase. It will last a long time and I am happy with this purchase. UPDATE: A year later and this is a purchase we all love. She loves to sleep on it and it makes night travel much easier, everyone sleeps well at night. I usually make a "mattress" out of a folded comforter or quilt covered with a bed sheet. 2018 highly recommended! UPDATE: I still love it, still use it. Now I have a second child and he will use it for him too. We had an accident with vomiting - I took it in the bath and used the hand shower and scrubber to clean it up. Then left open and air dried overnight. Like new. This bed is the best.
