I have had them since February 2020. A year and 4 months have passed and they are still working. The batteries will last about a month. I recently switched to rechargeable batteries and they don't last as long, but that's because of the batteries, not the light. I only have a million little automatic lights that light up at dusk so the batteries are worth it. They shimmer beautifully and always look great. They're jealous when you have company! They also look fantastic in photos. I love them so much I plan to order more when I have more batteries and a bigger charging base. At some point I want to have a set in every room. Some winters we lose a lot of electricity, and that's handy. In fact, just last week we had a power outage for several hours and these lights kept me from looking for a flashlight in the dark. I didn't want to use nails or screws to hang them, nor did I want to hang them on the wall, so I threaded handmade string through the hanging holes and now they just hang from a pin - so easy to move around when I change things depending on the season. As I said at the beginning, I have a million automatic lights in my house because it's like magic when they all turn on at dusk. Of all the different styles and brands I have, these are the best with the longest battery life. Everything about them is simple. They're plastic and it doesn't matter because they just look and work great.
