Buyer beware good for windshields

I know why you are here, that's the same reason I came. You're looking for a windshield spoiler, first found something like the MRA X-Creen or the Touratech version, saw the price well over $100 and did some exploring to see if there was anything cheaper and you landed here . In fact, you found something cheaper. What's the catch? Continue reading. I have no experience with Touratech versions, but I have an MRA X-Creen Sport that you can get for around $115. This product is clearly a fake with a very similar design, differing mainly in where the supports attach to the spoiler. The difference lies in the build quality and quality control, the latter of which is totally absent from this Motoparty product. When the Motoparty device is installed and fixed, it's pretty solid. When you unlock it to change its position, it looks a little sloppy. It's minor, so you probably won't think much of it if you've never tried an MRA product. Having only tried one copy of this product I can't tell you how many times their quality control fails but they were pretty wrong with the copy I received. Two of the four set screws didn't go in at all, and the other two went in reluctantly and were very tight. This problem rendered the product unusable as it could not be securely attached to the windshield. When I gave up and tried to shoot it, I couldn't even get one of the two set screws back out, the allen wrench just turned it. Luckily I never got it far enough to really pinch it and I managed to get it straight off the windshield. If you happen to get a working copy, it's probably worth $35. Can't tell what the chances are of getting a good copy, mine didn't work and I sent it back. If you want a good product that runs smoothly and easily, go for the expensive MRA or Touratech versions. You get what you pay for.
