This fan provides a strong air circulation. It moves a lot of air and works very well. I took it to the hospital while my husband was in a coma and used it to cool him off the heated bed. He had a high fever and the nurses offered him a ventilator to keep him comfortable. I set it to its lowest setting and installed it across the room, but it worked so well that it actually cooled some of the equipment used to support it and set off the alarm. It was SO powerful. Many nurses asked me where I got the ventilator because they wanted to buy one for their home. I found it worked so well that I bought one for home use and one for my son in his dorm room. It comes with a remote control and snaps into place. It makes a bit of noise, but I like the white noise effect when I'm trying to sleep. My husband was waking up from his coma and loved having a fan in his room while he was recovering as the equipment keeping him alive also made him uncomfortably hot. I've never had a better fan for the money and it lasted over a year with no sign of slowing down.
