Sound quality/clarity is excellent but background noise is not blocked out as I had hoped. I bought it to avoid being distracted by inappropriate conversations at work. Unfortunately, noise isolation is nothing more than covering your ears with your palms. Luckily, if you turn the volume up enough, you can drown out most of the conversations around you, making them less distracting and keeping the sound quality nice and clear. The noise leakage to the outside is minimal, so other people cannot hear your music. They are pretty light and comfortable to wear for a few hours at a time.
