I'll give this sub a 5/5 for sound quality as it delivers great bass for a 12 inch closed sub. The cable set that is included represents good quality for what you are buying. I give the overall quality and design of the subwoofer a 2/5 for the following reasons:- This subwoofer has an amplifier built into the unit but terrible design to the amplifier to let breathe. Since the amplifier is built into the subwoofer enclosure, it will get warm as that is the amplifier's function of taking the audio signal and amplifying it for heavy bass. The amplifier built into this unit cannot breathe and tends to overheat and go into protection mode, causing the subwoofer to turn off until it cools down a bit. I adjusted and adjusted the bass settings on the main unit and the bass controller. and on the subwoofer itself on the lowest settings and still had issues with the subwoofer going into protected mode and shutting down, but again that's because the amp gets too hot inside because it can't breathe.
