I confirm the words of both comments regarding the problems. Today (11/27/2022) we bought this printer, we additionally bought cactus cp-108 cartridges for it, when printing on the photo in the middle, 7 dots appeared at an equal distance along the entire length of the photo (along, exactly where the guide moves the photo) and the dots are very deep, you can see them even from a distance. This happened with the other 3 photos. I called canon technical support, they answered that it is not allowed to use cartridges that are not certified by the company itself, they say they do not guarantee the quality, that this is because of these cartridges and advised me to buy official cp-108 cartridges. On the same day (11/27/2022) I went and bought a branded cartridge, which is recommended on the canon website. And gentlemen! This is outrageous, the same dots appeared on branded cartridges (photos)! When printing, a grinding noise is clearly audible when the photo paper is fed through. I'll call tech support tomorrow. Otherwise, he's awesome. I am posting an example of a photo, I was not too lazy to scan this photo and highlight the points. P. S. I am writing an addendum, I called technical support on 11/28/2022, once again indicated that even with original cartridges dots appear. The answer of support was simply struck by the absurdity, are you ready to hear it? The reason for the appearance of dots even on original cartridges is radio interference from electricity sources in the apartment! Radio interference, Carl! And not mechanical damage in the guides . Comrades from Canon, if the fault of such points is radio interference, then where is the foil cap included with the printer ?! One of these days I will carry it to the service center. If they refuse, I will sue. SEE THE ADDITIONAL REVIEW IN THE COMMENTS (ABOUT ADDITIONAL PHOTOS WHICH WILL BE DESCRIBED IN THE MAIN REVIEW IN THE COMMENTS).
