Good for stupid shelves
I purchased stupid bookshelves that don’t seem to be intended to hold actual books since they don’t have anything to keep them from falling over on the ends of the shelf. I originally got library type bookends with a flap on the non-book side for stability. Then I bought more books and needed that flap space for said books. So I got these because they were cute and would allow for the maximum number of books per shelf. They’re sturdy metal and work well, they have enough of a bottom flap to stay quite stable, which was a mild concern.
- Stands on its own. Heavy enough for supporting several books
- The bookends may not be strong enough to hold larger or oversized books
