Review on Bluetooth Waterproof Dust Proof Drop Proof Speakerphone Portable Audio & Video by Kayla Mccants

New solution for the pool. Well built. But it lacks sound quality and volume outdoors

I have some outdoor BT speakers and thought this one would be great for pool and pool use. Note that this isn't very loud, so it's definitely intended for close-range listening within around 10 feet and at moderate-to-low volumes. Swimming in the water very close to your location or at the edge of the pool nearby is the best it is suitable for. The sound quality is very bad. Don't expect much. Even when I set the manual equalizer in my phone's music player app, it doesn't make a difference in the sound like it would with larger and more technical speakers. So I see it as a kind of "toy" that basically provides outdoor background music. Now the sound in the doors is more pronounced and the volume is much louder, but the sound quality is still just "ok". This is a novelty that you may get wet, so treat it as such. All controls are located on the rubber part with color accent on the side. Press the raised line between the volume up and volume down sliders to turn it on or off. BT connected to my Samsung straight away so no complaints. It comes with a small mini stereo speaker aux cable for wired connection if you don't want to use BT and the connector is on the bottom of the unit which has a very firm rubber plug which should be sealed tight if water is nearby. There's also a short mini-USB to USB cable with a nifty cable reel inside the device. Underneath the colored rubber controls, you'll see an oval connector with a rubber plug that also fits very snugly into the hole you put the USB charging cable through. This plug door is very, very tight and difficult to open with fingertips or nails, so I recommend opening the main bottom cover first and pushing the oval plug from the inside with the tip of a pen to open it. It's all good and designed to keep moisture out. Although I received this for free through the Revain Vine program, I don't see myself willing to pay $50 for it in exchange for my honest review. Probably worth around $30 considering the sound quality. But if your main motivation is to have something safe by the pool, then at least this will give you some music in the water without worrying even if it ends up in the water.
