Review on Peak Design SlideLITE SLL-1 Camera Strap - Black: Perfect for Mirrorless Cameras by Brian Potter

Innovative design and quality neck/shoulder strap for mirrorless cameras

Possibly the best camera neck/shoulder strap I've ever used, this Peak Design has it all: superb quality, innovative design, interchangeable components and diverse application possibilities. This is part of a Peak Design kit that uses round plastic connection points that snap and stay in place until you push on the spring mechanism to release them. That means you can buy a neck strap, wrist strap, small mounting plate, large mounting plate, tripod mount, etc. and use them all interchangeably while shooting. This is truly an amazing system. The quality looks very premium and the connector tabs are made from a special multi-layered material that shows color when it's time to replace and discard the connector (these connectors are also sold separately so you can get a good idea) . This model is durable, black, something like a car seat belt. It feels incredibly strong. It has a little sharp edges, but it doesn't bother. By sliding the plastic sliders, you can easily convert it into a neck or shoulder strap. Please note that this strap is not as large as the ones Peak Design makes for larger, typically full-frame cameras: this model is for mirrorless cameras, which are smaller and lighter. I use mine with a Fuji X-T2 camera, it fits the camera perfectly. Some of these Peak Design components are a bit overpriced, but when you see the quality of the components and then see how they can be combined, disassembled, and recombined almost instantly Well, the price really doesn't bother you that much. It's a unique concept with many great uses and I'm very glad I got to know the system. Five stars.
