I am so happy to find these short cables to extend the life of my USB ports

, especially at the right angle as the port on my large Lenovo is halfway to the side of the monitor. The SD card reader got to the point where it shorted out something on the computer and turned it off when I unplugged and plugged the card reader back in. Now I just keep the new cable on all the time and no shorts! On my Chromebook where I'm constantly plugging and unplugging an SD card reader for photos, it dies and I have to use the SD slot for a while and then for some reason comes back to life. Now that I can drop one of the little cords and leave it, no more problems.
