I added water in the ratio indicated and the plaster was still mostly powder. After adding a little more water, I had to search the internet for what the consistency of plaster of paris should be for children's creativity. I then added water to the recommended consistency I found online, but it was still lumpy, a bit thick and difficult to work with. I added a "good enough" mix to the mold. It didn't dry in 45 minutes - in fact, it took a full two nights before it felt dry. The mold was too small, so after "drying” the figures just fell out of the mold. I have a PhD in Science and making plaster cast animals for my 5 year old was too difficult with this set. 1/10 do not recommend.
