I love this belt. It's definitely not a "dressy" belt, but it's perfect for jeans. The band is the correct width (1 1/2 inches), soft and stretchy. It has a raw or rough texture on the back of the strap which gives it a good grip on my pants. It stays in place and doesn't try to turn sideways. The buckle is well made and sturdy with a western style hook closure. The buckle has a bit of a western vibe but is actually more steampunk but not overly in . I felt younger.
