It does what it says on the tin and says it all. I'm not sure if I'm using it incorrectly on my lens or what, but when I attach my 28mm f/2.8 to it, the lens must already be focused at infinity to be able to focus at infinity with the adapter. BUT it can only be infinite without focusing on anything closer. If I want to focus closer, I have to remove the lens and focus closer, but I can't focus to infinity. It's also only sharply focused in the center, producing an odd "blooming" vignette elsewhere. So it's frustrating. Luckily, the glass elements it contains are removable. But without them, the lens becomes practically useless (unless you like focusing on things far away, maybe an inch). The extra glass makes photos look blurry and sometimes gives weird ghosting effects. But as said, the elements are fortunately detachable. When I got it and attached it to the lens the closest focus I could get to focus was probably 4ft maybe 4.5 so not very close. Since one of the parts is concave on both sides and the other is convex on only one side (flat on the other side), they can be rearranged or removed for any focusing distance desired. Luckily, I've reduced my length to just over the usual 1.5 feet. So it's nothing special, but at least you can mount an FD lens on an EF mount, right? Right?
