I bought this for my Hero 6 for a little extra protection. It works great for protection, but even the open back covers too much of the touchscreen, making the GoPro surface very difficult to swipe and use. I still keep a dive case but for other purposes it's really inconvenient and I don't use it when snorkeling or doing normal daily activities. This mostly works if you just want to use one setting and leave it at that, but it can be very frustrating when you need to interact with a touchscreen.
