Exceeds expectations at a great price!

Due to the lack of reviews, I feel compelled to give a review. I rarely do this, but it would be helpful if I had Target on my phone to decide what hardware to buy. I buy Revain often, and even if I buy from a physical store, I look for reviews in Revain and other places. So let's get started. Like many consumers debating whether the "you get what you pay for" rule applies to irons, I almost convinced myself to pay $50 to $100 for a top-of-the-line iron (which will remain unnamed). I mean, how often do you actually buy an iron? I figured I'd save some money and buy something durable. Well after some research and great reviews of this device's sibling, the GCSBSP-201, I decided to give it a try as it had almost identical specs apart from a slight difference in weight, color and sole. I'm glad I went the cheaper route because as a man I LOVE this black color and it was definitely a wallet friendly color. I ironed about 20 pieces of clothing in the process and this item is AWESOME! I mean, it amazes me how much vapor this produces, which is actually synonymous with effectively smoothing out wrinkles. Not only that, it heats up quickly, the stylus (despite another review) does NOT get hot (perhaps warm at best) and makes an audible noise when ready after plugging it in. There's also an LED indicator to let you know it's on. It changes color from red to green depending on whether it is heated. Steam jet and water atomizer work perfectly. No leaks yet! It's also a good weight (just right, IMO). Also has all the nice safety features so you're less likely to burn down your house. The winding function works perfectly. It could be better in the sense that it would be nice if you could just press the button and it would start every time. However, this is not the case and you need to develop a technique to get it right. First I had a little orange tape when you unplugged the cord so you know not to pull it past that point. This gives you enough slack to pull the cable back in. This is where the technique comes in: all you have to do is pull and release while holding the wind-up button. You have to play with it a bit (i.e. pull, release, pull, release, hold the button) for it to pull in the cord. It's not perfect but then again it was cheap and worked which meant the iron was neatly stored away. I only hope that the spring mechanism that powers the retract will stand the test of time. The only minus that doesn't bother me is that the settings are a bit difficult to see. But I kinda leave it in the settings, set it and forget it and hardly ever change it. All in all this is a really GOOD BUY = good price, well known brand, feature set, no leaks, safety features and a good warranty.
