So this dress got me originally because it had the slits (I'm a strider when I walk, and I trip over maxi dresses) and the open shoulders and pockets. I NEVER wear black so I was hesitant to buy it, but I needed it for a photoshoot. The first time I put it on I was bummed because it's not super flattering.cue black scarf around the waist. The dress grows on you. The more you wear it the more you love it. Because it's soft like butter on your skin, because you feel the wind carrassing your shoulders through the openings, because the pockets can fit your hands, phone, wand, plus a few extra accouterments. (although it would stretch out the fabric so I wouldn't recommend doing so). By the time the shoot came around I was wearing this dress at least once a week at my house. This is also perfect for dancing around a fire. You feel free and fabulous. I bought it also in white and green because it's so amazing, and honestly I'll pry grab it in maroon too. You feel elegant and also a little risque with the side slits, but they aren't too high that it's actually drastic. Seriously. Grab this dress. Also, I'm 145, and 5'6" and wear about a 6/8 dress and bought a medium.I maybe could have grabbed a small, but I enjoyed the way this laid even if it wasn't super 'slimming' but it skims the body so I'm good with it.
