This item can be excellent or below average depending on how you use it. I have a Skillz Pro on the back of my door. I wanted to take a step forward. I bought it to put in my basement. These gates are used by adults and are not used for immersion. Just planning on jumping shots and maybe some downtime. For what I use it for it will be excellent. I would not recommend playing outside for this purpose. The metal parts of the gate rust and are potentially dangerous. You can kill this target, but I wouldn't recommend it. The rim is attached to the back wall with just three screws. A few hard dunks and I think he will break or loosen 3 bolts which is a hazard. The post that connects the tailgate to the base is not very large in diameter. If a child hangs on this rim, the bar may break. When I was a kid, my friends and I would have destroyed this gate in a couple of weeks. If you need an external target, buy a real target that can be omitted. Lots of reviews praise the purpose and lots of reviews say it's a piece of junk. Depending on how you use the target, both statements are correct.
