Review on πŸ“± DuraFolio Case and Viewing Stand for iPad Mini 1, 2, and 3 (Retina Display) by Speck Products (SPK-A2692) by Nate Jenkins

Overall good case - a little heavy

My experience with the case is similar to other online reviews. My wish list when looking for a suitcase: 1. Both hard plastic and rubber. I wanted the hard plastic to help distribute the impact force evenly to the ground if/when dropped. I believe this will help prevent the iPad from bending and breaking the screen. I also wanted the rubber to help absorb shock when dropped. I want a portfolio design. This way the screen is protected when not in use (obviously this is important to protect the screen from destruction if something hits or falls on it). It also wakes up the iPad, which requires one less button press when I'm using it all day. I also use the case as a stand. This cover meets all of the above criteria. It also looks good and is a reasonable price. I wish the case was a little lighter and cheaper, but overall I'm happy with my purchase. With my iPad Mini Retina and case, it still weighs less than my original Kindle Fire with a cheap "homo" style case. I assume the case adds 50% of the iPad's weight to the overall configuration. The case has a bit of "sag" around the volume buttons as per other reviews, but to be honest I don't care. the functions work great. All magnets work as they should, stand function, sleep/wake function etc. I only received the case today so I can't say how well it will work over time. Let me know if you have any questions.

Pros
  • Military grade slim protective case for iPad Mini (with Retina display)
Cons
  • AC outlet required
