So after reading the reviews I was torn whether to take it or not. I have an acute rotator cuff tear and have not had surgery yet. I slept in a chair for comfort. But as the pre-planned weekend was approaching, I had to find a solution quickly. So I gave him a chance. When I received the package it was packed so tightly that when unpacked it was flat. I was nervous. It seemed like previous reviews about it being flat/warped were correct. However, after I gave it time, it expanded as expected. It's firm enough to hold its shape but soft enough to sleep on. The support is great with the extra padding needed for my shoulder. I recommend trying it.
