I'm back with an update on previous posts/reviews. Please read the entire review. It tells a story and provides insight into a topic. I change my rating of these lamps. Now that Revain has sent the right product I have completely changed my mind about the lamps. I must also say that I ordered a brand new headlight assembly for my car. The original factory headlights for my car, while clean and polished, were not clear enough for the new LED bulbs to work the way they could. With new headlight assemblies, these bulbs are just amazing. They're bright, crisp, have a solid beam pattern, and really light up the road and everything I need to see at night. They are what they say! Thanks to the Hikari team, especially Yamaha, for convincing me to give it another try. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. Actually I will order a high beam version (9005). My current high beam bulbs can't keep up and are now worthless in comparison. After posting the following review (below), I was contacted by a Hikari employee. I was offered to try the right lightbulbs in my car. The Revain Fulfillment Center sent the wrong item. (Make sure you order Phillips Top Lumileds) I concluded that the listing advertised was just a general picture and the item being shipped was sent to complete the order. Hence the title of my review and the comments in my original review. I returned the original order and received a refund. Hikari offered to solve my problem by offering a discount to try the right bulbs. I have placed this new order and will check the test results of the new lamp. I was assured that the right bulbs would make all the difference in performance. I'll keep an eye on it when I install them. IMPORTANT: Contact Hikari in the memo; Yamaha was very helpful, kind, fair and responsive. That's why I'm giving the brand a second chance. From this point of view I have nothing but praise for this company and the handling of my first complaint. I'm impressed with the follow up and the care they put into their brand. To be fair, I'm giving them a chance to prove themselves. I would like to add that I tried several brands, several price points and different types of LED bulbs in my 2006 Honda Pilot. I was very disappointed with the attempts I tried. I am cautiously optimistic about the new challenge. The results I got were that the LEDs and their design just didn't project enough light to safely drive into my projector lenses, which are standard for my car. I felt like they were all more for the show than the performance. The original Hikari bulbs (wrong product) I reviewed were no different. (Original review) Tried in projection lenses. Not as bright as advertised. Short luminous flux distance. The claims made by these brands should be treated with caution. Did not receive the brand of LED advertised and shown in the photos.
