I used a microphone to record my voice, but at first I assumed it was broken because of the hissing, buzzing, and other sounds an untuned microphone makes. The fan in the system unit is relatively quiet, but I later discovered that it is so sensitive that it can pick up sound! After configuring the sound filters, the microphone provides outstanding quality; when someone is being recorded, it sounds as though they are speaking right next to you. Be careful; not everyone requires the unrealistic sensitivity of a high-quality condenser microphone; the majority would be satisfied with a dynamic microphone. As it turned out, I would fall into this category, but naturally, after adjusting all the settings, I don't intend to switch out the microphone.
