Review on Metallic Grey Rock Jaw V2 Alfa Genus Headphones - Enhanced for SEO by Scott Maddocks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing quality not just for the price

I bought these headphones twice, unfortunately the first order was defective and there was no foam in the tuning filters which is why they all sounded the same. But even with those issues, the sound was much better than many other $100+ companies. They broke after 4 months. I contacted the company for a warranty replacement. I got it for free. This time the performance was exemplary. The replacement was the correct V2 option and all parts were in pristine condition. Each tuning filter had foam and sounded different. My least favorite was the silver bass filter, I've never been one that cuts the mids and highs. My next favorite filter was the black high pass filter, which made the high frequencies very clear, vocals sounded clearer, and the strings benefited a lot. My personal favorite has to be the gold ND filter. This is a reference filter designed for a balanced sound. Overall, they maintain excellent tonal balance, making every song you listen to very balanced, producing strong bass with clear highs and clear mids. They sound great, many agree they often outperform much more expensive offerings and I have to agree. As for the cons. The biggest culprit had to be the cable itself. While size and bulkiness aren't inherently bad qualities, the cable's noise level is excellent, with every movement easily audible and often disrupting listening sessions. On the plus side, a shirt clip was included which I must add is amazing quality. The last negative point does not concern the fit or function of the headphones at all, but rather the adjustment period. If you're coming from standard Apple earbuds like I am, using these headphones is going to sound ugly at first. The reason for this is that these headphones generally lack good bass, then amazing bass will make all music sound very muffled and generally uncomfortable. Give it a week and you'll praise the sound quality. And since audiophiles love these headphones, you'll love them too.
