Review on Olay Eyes Eye Lifting Serum, 0.5 Fluid Ounces by Tina Williams

Great BUT. - Eyes

To be honest, I didn't really appreciate this cream until I stopped using it. Let me explain: I'm 36 years old, with combination oily, sensitive and acne prone skin, and in the last few years I've started to experience uncomfortable dryness and fine lines around my eyes. I first bought this cream because of all the great reviews but after trying it I found it useless and very dishonest. This cream advertises instant results, but it's actually a lie. The cream *seems* to give instant results simply because it's actually tinted. (You can see the tint and slight shimmer in the photo I provided; Olay Cream on the left, Plain White Roc Cream on the right.) Olay Eyes Cream doesn't really get rid of dark circles or wrinkles right away, it's just tinted that way it camouflages them like makeup. . I was really worried about this sales gimmick. However, I hate to throw away products, so I gave it a try anyway. (One small tube lasted a few months, lasts a long time.) After I was done with that, I didn't buy another tube. Imagine my surprise when a few days after stopping using this cream, I started noticing severe dryness and tightness around my eyes, as well as the reappearance of fine lines! The results came so gradually that I didn't notice the lack of dryness or wrinkles until I stopped using it. I didn't want to try this cream again, so I tried 3 eye creams from other brands, some of them were very expensive. None of the other creams I have tried have helped with dryness or fine lines. Eventually I gave up and started using this cream again and it got rid of my dryness right away. I don't like the useless shimmer hence the four stars but I seem to be stuck with this one. It really works, although you have to wait a few weeks to see a difference with fine lines.
