Glad this set was a 3 pack as I not only use them for cooking utensils on the stove but also outside for the grill shelf and an in our workshop. I use the one in the workshop to place the colored pens and pencils I use so they don't roll around and to rest the glue gun when the gooey and sticky drips fall on the larger side. When this residue dries it can be easily removed by bending the rest and throwing the rest of the glue in the trash. The base grips well and keeps this stand in place on a countertop or oven glass table. The slotted area is ideal for the top of utensils, pens, pencils, art brushes, no problem.
