I LOVE these brushes! I'm not a makeup artist but wanted to upload a photo I took and add some text stating what they are best used for as the paper that comes with them shows what they are used for. (These are based only on the chart that comes with the kit.) In my opinion, #1 works best for blush as it can be used for foundation, but in general denser brushes work best for blending liquid foundation or creams. Dense, flat brushes work best with foundations (liquid and/or mineral). #2 works best with a liquid foundation or highlighter (which can be worn on high cheekbones). It can also be used as a large concealer brush. #3 This is best used for contouring, highlighting or blending eyeshadow. #4 Best used for blending eyeliner or blending eyeshadow on lower lid. It is also very suitable for blending or adding darker colors to the crease of the lid. #5 Best used for oblique shadows in the crease of the eyelid. #6 Brushes for brows (only use eyeshadow) and also for eyeliner (especially if you use eyeshadow). #7 It's best to use a small concealer brush OR use eyeshadow to "caress" the eyelid. #8 Best for crease and blend eyeshadow. #9 The bristle side is for the brows and the comb side is for combing and separating the lashes. #10 is best used to set powder or apply powder all over OR lightly use mineral powder for blending. #11 is best for blending liquid or mineral foundation (the thicker the more it helps blending) #12 Same application as #11 Hope this helps :)
