The sound is definitely focused on the mids and highs, but with tight bass filling and surprisingly good bass extension for its size. The overall sound quality is crisp and clear, with no background noise or hum, even at full volume. These speakers offer enough volume and sound quality to watch movies, music or games indoors. Then I tried them outdoors. Again, the volume was just enough to be clearly audible further back in my yard, about 70 meters from the SD speakers. Bass performance is a little less than I was hoping for when listening to it indoors, but that's the reality of speaker placement outdoors. Although I wouldn't say it's bad. You can expect a lot from a 6.5-inch outdoor Bluetooth speaker with built-in amplifier for under $100, and when you think about it, it really works. I can also try an equalizer app to adjust the sound to my surroundings. I am very happy with these speakers. They're cheap, connect seamlessly to my iPhone, and sound great.
