I wanted to switch from a large portable Bluetooth speaker (G-Boom) to stereo sound in my backyard cooking/meeting area. Area about 30 by 50 feet. The more I researched, the more I realized that there aren't many options when it comes to setting up Bluetooth stereo speakers for outdoor use. Reviews for these speakers weren't as good as some of the other options, but I knew I wanted 6.5-inch bass drivers to get as much volume and bass response as possible in a mid-size speaker. It was an open shop so they were almost half the normal price. Upon opening the box, I was pleased with the size and weight of the speakers. They are also quite attractive and understated. The brackets were mounted using the supplied washers with some screws I already had and the speakers attach quickly to them with the supplied thumbscrews, so no tools are required once the brackets are installed. ) can be attached or removed in about 30 seconds. For that reason, I probably won't test their water resistance. They are so easy to take with me when I'm not using them. The Bluetooth range is around 60 feet outdoors, which is good enough for my needs, and I can't say the blue light, which bothers some users, was an issue for me, though a piece of black tape or some black spray paint did doing it easily could solve this problem. Now for the important part. sound quality. I tried them indoors for the first time and was surprised by their volume. The sound is definitely focused on the mids and highs, but with tight bass filling and surprisingly good bass extension for its size. The overall sound quality is crisp and clear, with no background noise or hum, even at full volume. These speakers offer enough volume and sound quality to watch movies, music or games indoors. Then I tried them outdoors. Again, the volume was just enough to be clearly audible further back in my yard, about 70 meters from the SD speakers. Bass performance is a little less than I was hoping for when listening to it indoors, but that's the reality of speaker placement outdoors. Although I wouldn't say it's bad. You can expect a lot from a 6.5-inch outdoor Bluetooth speaker with built-in amplifier for under $100, and when you think about it, it really works. I can also try an equalizer app to adjust the sound to my surroundings. I am very happy with these speakers. They're cheap, connect seamlessly to my iPhone, and sound great. I'll update my review if my opinion on these speakers changes, but unless they completely fail I think they're a wonderful deal whether used indoors or outdoors.
