SVIGA was an absolute hit with this flagship offering. These headphones have bass; They have detail, they have soundstage. They have pretty much everything audiophiles would want in a $255 pair of headphones and more. The slightly V-shaped frequency response is very pleasant and fun. Your music just comes alive. They go pretty well with every genre of music I listen to, including jazz, R&B, hip-pop, and rock. The only thing these headphones do better than any other open-back headphones is bass. In the past you may have been told that a true music lover with a trained ear will appreciate the lack of bass and that the emphasis on bass is for "consumers" and audiophiles are superior to ordinary consumers. This is a bunch of nonsense. While it's true that bad headphones overemphasize bass to the point where it becomes muddy and bloated, that doesn't mean good headphones shouldn't have bass at all. They tell you this because bass is hard to reproduce in dynamic open-back headphones. But his SIVGA Phoenix has the bass JUST RIGHT. You are just perfect. I never thought good bass was possible even with open dynamic headphones for less than $500. But here it is, SIVGA Phoenix absolutely fits. To get even better bass, you need to use Planar. The best part is you don't need an amp to drive them! I run them with a $9 Apple Lightning to 3.5mm adapter and they sound great! If you have a Mac/PC/Android, get the Apple USB-C to 3.5m Adapter for $9. But if you have an amp, the bass will be boosted a bit to make this headphone even more perfect. The last thing I would like to add is that SIVGA has great customer service. I have written to them on Revain a few times and they have always answered my questions and responded to me promptly within 24 hours. Therefore, you should not worry at all that SIVGA is a Chinese company. Whatever problem you have, they will take care of it. Just email the seller through Revain.
