I haven't used aluminum in years and wanted to try something new so I did I bought Rose Schmidt. vanilla deodorant Firstly, I love the smell and since it doesn't contain aluminum my armpits don't smell funny. The smell not only stays, it also dries! Staying dry was my main concern when moving away from aluminum. RASH: This deodorant is slightly abrasive and may tug on skin when applied. I've read and seen the rash but I don't think it has anything to do with the ingredients, it has to do with the application. When you put deodorant on it tightens the skin which creates micro-scratches, then the deodorant gets into all those tiny cuts and your skin gets irritated. I got a rash right away, but only after a few weeks, so I knew IT WAS NOT AN ALLERGIC REACTION. Then I understood what micro abrasion is. So I took a 2 or 3 day break from using it, used an alternative deodorant during the day, applied rash cream at night, and gently rinsed my armpits during those days to allow the abrasions to heal. After a few days I used Schmidt's again, but now I heat it with a hair dryer to soften it before applying. I've been using this method for about a month and have NO MORE PROBLEMS. I strongly encourage you to try this method again. I don't want you to miss out on the best aluminum free deodorant! Trust me I've spent a lot of money trying many brands and Schmidt's is by far the best. I discovered that SCHMIDT'S HAS A LINE OF DEODORANTS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN, so I just ordered a sample. It claims to have "a smooth and creamy texture with natural magnesium. Designed for sensitive skin." This could be the cure for having to blow dry my deodorant in the morning! :) Good luck, stay fresh and so clean clean!
