They're small enough to chill your drink and even then they only keep it slightly colder than room temperature and not for very long. I don't know about the rest, but I have three whiskey drinkers at home and we have a glass or two almost every night. If it takes six to eight pounds to chill your drink, I'll have to buy two or three sets for a typical three-person evening. multiple sets if you have multiple people. I keep them to myself because they look pretty cool, but I guess for me they're 4 inch ice cubes again.
