According to my experience this scratching post is a complete waste of money .While it claims to protect your furniture, it actually just attracts your cat to scratch everything else in your home. The only upside is that it`s easy to assemble. However, the negatives far outweigh the one positive. Save your money and invest in a more effective scratch deterrent..
