Review on Propper Mens Bdu Patrol Cap Boys' Accessories and Hats & Caps by Tyler Cash

The material is too thin, it fits me

While I'm usually impressed with Propper products, these BDU patrol caps are an exception. As others have said the material is too thin for the cap to maintain the expected "patrol cap" shape. It's like putting a rag with a bill on your head. Here's my breakdown of the other options available: Tru-Spec: Only available in OCP/Multicam Helikon-Tex: Unlike a real patrol cap, has a strap on the back. - Rothco: maybe better, but made in communist China - Mil-Tec (TeeStar): excellent, keeps its shape, close to the quality of the original patrol cap; 100% cotton only. Surplus: The real deal, but it will have someone's name written on it and may fall apart.

Pros
  • Fits great but could be half an inch lower
Cons
  • It is only available in forest camouflage, so it is not suitable for all conditions.
