With the amount of current it draws, it does an excellent job. hot that burns my fingers when I hold it. True, it takes time to get there. I make breakfast burritos and keep them frozen. If I put them in a frozen pan they will warm up in about 2 hours. A couple of times I've let them thaw before heating and it took them about 1 hour to really heat up. When you put food in a plastic bag, it gets so hot that the plastic melts. I once tried reheating leftover food in a pyrex plate and it didn't heat up in 2 hours. After that experience, I reheated leftovers in plastic containers or wrapped them in aluminum foil. I think it would be better if I could find a metal container like a small cake pan or something. The only thing that really bothers me about the product is the slight plastic smell when it gets warm. I hope this goes away with time and repeated use.
