It's amazing how a small clip can cause so much frustration. He got off pretty easily with the help of a tissue, but putting the pen back on was an absolute agony. However, we saw this tool and took a chance. I put the clip on the short end into the slot and lo and behold, it clicked into place with little effort and our Geo Metro window handle worked again. The instrument itself is surprisingly large. Much longer than expected. Well built and manufactured in the United States. The back of the instrument had some discoloration, but this did not affect the results. So if you have old-school manual windows, you'll probably need it one day.
