Started great but failed too quickly

I bought this speaker in April and initially had a lot of fun with it - the connectivity was great and the integrated feature with MS Teams was great. The connection works well and I liked the extra built-in cable that can be removed. The only comment I have is that I wish there was room to store the USB-C to USB adapter separately in the speaker enclosure. The SP30T has great sound as well as a regular speaker. - I would go on a conference call and then listen to music on it and the sound is great for that (it's a Sennheiser after all!). Fast forward 6 months and the speaker is now virtually unusable for calls. It's like the internal mic failed because during a call I can hear everyone and no one can hear me all the time and when they can it's intermittent. I've tested this across multiple internet connections and I'm having issues and I've switched to a different speaker to see if the issues are with Sennheiser and unfortunately it is. I wish I could recommend this, but for over $200 I would expect a little more durability from this speaker. I give it two stars because it was great when it worked, but I can't justify a rejection within a year of purchase.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Compatibility
