Review on Sceptre E325W-2560AD DisplayPort 2560x1440 with Speakers, Adaptive Sync and 85Hz Refresh Rate HD Monitor by Mike Sewell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice monitor, clunky controls

That's a lot of monitor for the money. Pros: Big beautiful screen, bright and the transition from my old HD monitor to this QHD monitor is noticeable. No dead pixels or obvious flaws that I could spot. Cons: Controls are a bit awkwardly placed, with menus difficult to navigate (switching between inputs is particularly awkward). The included stand offers very limited adjustment options - it only tilts up and down, not raises or lowers or swivels from side to side. IMHO the monitor is too low. The built-in speakers are anemic, but that's to be expected for a monitor at this price point. Additional Notes: I ended up dropping the included stand and going for a desktop mount with more positioning options. For some reason the bottom 2 screws of the monitor's VESA mount are flatter than the top 2. Luckily the mount I bought had other, shorter screws that I was able to use, but it's weird having two different length screws for one and the same mount to use.

Pros
  • ‎2560x1440
Cons
  • Limited response time
