It is already sewn on to stay tied. Maybe fasten into the hole to reinforce the hole. But this product could definitely be made a little stronger. I'd be happy to pay a few bucks for more durable plastic. My child loves these masks and plays imaginative games. Keeps them away from electronics all day.
