My wife and I ordered this Mario costume (small 4-6) for our 5 year old boy and overall we love the costume but are disappointed with how cheaply made it is. . If your child is particularly wild or rough in their clothes, this suit is almost guaranteed to tear due to the absolutely sub-par materials. back to put on the whole suit. The back part is fixed with Velcro fasteners. This costume also includes a red Mario hat with an "M" and a mustache. Curiously, the signature white gloves are missing. We ordered my youngest son a matching Luigi suit from the same brand and he comes with gloves but no moustache, which again is a bit odd. The materials used in each of the components are 100% polyester. My son loved his costume, but as a parent, I don't like cheap materials that hurt the Nintendo brand. The suit is also incredibly hot. On a cold Halloween night my two sons were sweaty from running around in these costumes. A word of warning if you live in a warmer climate. This product speaks to our throwaway culture and really isn't designed to last more than one season. My son is a fan and the costume is cute and definitely fits the Mario character. However, before ordering, think carefully about how your child will be using the costume. If you expect long life or repeated use, this suit is not the right choice.
