Review on The Trigger Wheel Massager by Stick by Katie Garcia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Outperforms other hand held massagers

This item would make a great addition for any athlete or anyone with muscles. The head itself is nice and strong but has a rubber coating which gives it just the right amount of hardness and the thickness is really perfect. But Revain has a lot of massagers. The difference is the rotatable head. Other simple plastic protrusions can only hold direct pressure in one spot. Pulling just tugs at your skin, and if you oil them you can move them for deep hits, but they'll likely slide too much. This one is perfect because you can take it anytime and roll it over your skin and deep into your muscles. But you can also get that "static" pressure massage by squeezing the base of the roller while keeping the wheel stationary, or pulling perpendicular to the wheel if you want to glide over the skin and upper fascia. So it's almost like two instruments in one that you can switch between with a simple press of your thumb. I get bogged down in muscle knots like this, but another really useful thing is to "cut" along muscle lines to break up adhesions. A good example is when you feel the edges of your IT bandage, slide that guy along those grooves like a pizza cutter to really break that bandage. This is ideal for small angles like around the kneecap, between the metatarsal muscles, the forearm muscles and the jaw. I love this thing, maybe I'll get a second one. You need something else for a wider massage and backstroke. My favorite thing to do is lie on a lacrosse ball. I also have a racquet that is good for the feet, but it's not "surgical" like this one or a lacrosse ball.
