The sound is really impressive!

If you ask my wife, I've searched through too many MP3 players looking for the best one for my needs. I've had a lot of unknown brands and some of them are actually very good. Just not quite what I wanted. The one I've been using since the summer is with me everywhere. But I needed something BETTER. have it with Let me say up front that this is not for beginners. If the level of music playback depends on the applications on your phone, you may get lost at the beginning. If you're looking for a touchscreen with big, beautiful buttons, then this isn't it. I read another review that said the user experience is poor. I find it absurd. If you're serious about music but on a budget, this is an experience you'll cherish. The interface is extremely intuitive and there are plenty of options and settings you can tinker with to customize it exactly how you want it. DAC - It has a great DAC for the price. It's not the latest generation, but that's to be expected at this price point. He does his job and does it well. My FLAC and MP3 files sound fantastic over a pair of trusty IEM headphones. Destroys other DACs in the next lower tier. TI makes a really great DAC! Sound - even my lower quality MP3s I keep from the Napster days sound great. Obviously you can notice a difference in quality, if one of the old files appears randomly, but it doesn't sound grainy or buggy. My high quality 320 kbps files and multiple albums copied from CD to FLAC is where it shines. Listening to high-resolution audio on this device is phenomenal. I'm really impressed with the sound in this price range. Assembly. Another review states that this device lacks build quality. This is an aluminum brick. The keys are made of plastic, but they seem absolutely solid. The scroll wheel is made of textured plastic but feels very solid. I had no trouble navigating the menu. All buttons are well labeled and make navigating the interface much easier. The screen also has a decent resolution for this type of device. Equalizer - This is a very competent 10-band equalizer with many presets. Unlike low-cost high-res players, EQ matters here. I set it to rock and it sounds fantastic. I/O - I have used this unit with bluetooth headphones, bluetooth headphones, a bluetooth stereo, a bluetooth speaker and my car bluetooth. There are no connection problems at all. However, I get better sound from my wired IEMs. Bluetooth is fine, but nothing beats a decent pair of headphones. You can also connect external devices (I used a regular USB stick connected with a Micro USB OTG cable) and get music from them. I have a 128GB MicroSD card installed and can hear this device streaming through Anker Soundcore about 25 feet away as I write this review. The HiBy Music app works as expected and streaming from my phone through it is a really easy process IF YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. HahaInterface - Three themes to choose from. Nothing special except changing the color scheme. What I like about the user interface is that you can access important settings directly from the playback screen. Turn Bluetooth on and off, show lyrics, album art (looks great) and access equalizer. The back button does what it says and the menu button does what it says. Literally no UI issues for those who understand file structure or have ever used a computer. Two other settings menus are available on the main screen. You can customize almost everything. Battery - I fully charged it upon receipt. It took about 1.5 hours to fully charge. At the moment I've been listening to music for about sixteen hours either through headphones or via Bluetooth. Streaming is mostly via Bluetooth. Battery indicator, shown in the pictures shows about 50%. In real life, this device might need to be charged once a week, especially if you mainly listen through wired headphones. General impressions: THIS is the MP3 player I was looking for. It's inexpensive, built like a truck, looks good, and has more customization options than I can shake my head.
