These units have a beautiful design and solid pine construction. And they will be packed very carefully for shipping. So far, so good. As noted in my review of their respective coffee tables, they are much darker than they appear in the photos. So if you can't afford it, stay away. But the main problem is the craft. Or her absence. I bought 2 units and both had issues with the tops (although everything else was fine). Block #1 was well finished but had scratches under the paint which they did not repair before applying this paint. So I will live with them forever. Worst of all the top has completely chipped off near a corner and I'll have to try and reattach it, hopefully it's not too noticeable. Device #2 had other problems. The top is sanded and painted over but they didn't bother to cover it with varnish! There is no sheen on it, you can easily see and feel the texture of the wood and it looks very different from the first. There was also a knot hole where the wood had completely fallen out, so they filled the nearly 1 inch empty hole (!) with small cratered brown wood putty knife. brown).
