You can't dunk your feet in this shoe. They hold all the water so you feel like you're walking around with buckets on your feet. I can see they're ok if you're walking in a wet/muddy area, but they're so open at the top that your feet are wet and muddy. I wore them when trying to walk on the rocky ocean but they were terrible because they held so much water. Then I put them on while rafting and we fell into the water and the shoes slipped off because they were so heavy and full of water. I bought cheap water shoes in Panama (where we traveled) for $10 and they were way better than these. I recommend looking for water shoes with small holes to allow water in and out.
