First I received a pack of 2 instead of 2 packs of 2 as stated in the description. I've used similar products in the past, but I was reluctant to give up what I put in my car because I realized there was no way to adjust the amount of scent. I've had other styles where you could at least control the amount of air going through them and at least controlled the strength of the smell to some extent. However, I didn't have to worry. The scent isn't that strong. It's winter now (January) but last week we had 3 days in over 80 degrees and the smell remained light and not overpowering even with the car sitting in the sun with the windows up. It won't cover up the sour milk but so far it's working great with a 7 year old machine that has survived babies, kids and dogs. I find the smell of berries about as expected - it smells a bit like candy.
