I have had several Macs and the Macally case is the best I have ever used. (For the Air, anyway.) I'd call it a folio case—when closed, your computer looks like a thin photo album. There is a suede finish on the inside and a soft brushed aluminum rubber on the outside. (It reminds me of the paneling you can find in Audis.) The computer is held in place with small clips and offers a good 1/4 inch edge protection (this is where I've always damaged my computers from falling huh makes it my favorite feature.) You'll notice some extra weight, but it maintains your Mac's sleek looks and keeps it in tip-top condition.
