Delay on the white side

Just received these today and wanted to test before putting them in. Used a 12V power supply and found that the yellow-amber light comes on immediately when power is applied, but the white has a delay. My plan with them is to replace my reversing light with a signal and reverse light because I hate red signal lights (it's not clear if you're signaling or stepping on the brake) and my car has a common brake and signal housing light.
