Very nice bag. I wanted to wear a crossbody bag over thick jackets during the winter months when it's difficult to carry a crossbody bag. This one doesn't disappoint. Most shoulder bags have built in wallets, but I needed a pocket big enough to carry my own wallet. This bag has enough space for everything I need. Measurements are accurate. It tapers at the top but is still 12 inches wide at the top. The bottom is wide enough to stand on its own when filling and not tip over. Woven strap at top and faux leather at bottom. Because the strap is made of smooth faux leather on the bottom, it may have a tendency to slip off the shoulder. Since I use it as a shoulder bag, this isn't a problem for me. So it doesn't get in the way of getting things out of the bag. The lining in a dark blue bag in a beautiful shade of turquoise makes it easy to see the contents of the bag.
