I haven't been able to test the throughput of this 100ft cable yet, but I've checked the latency with a mirrored monitor and an online timer. I changed this cable to its original position of a short HDMI cable with a copper wire to the second monitor. I don't see any additional delay to what is drawn on the screen. Viewing 240fps video recorded on both monitors with a stopwatch shows no obvious difference. As I'll be using this cable for gaming, I'm happy to see that switching to and from optically doesn't add any noticeable latency!
