Nice bed for cats. The upper isn't the strongest, but it should at least hold up a bit. My first delivery had detergent or fabric softener spilled all over the product packaging and unfortunately there was no plastic or anything like that in the cat bed itself (good for the planet but not for the product). So he ended up on the whole right bed. I wanted to try washing it but what makes it durable seems to be made out of wood material which will likely show water damage if I wash it. So I decided to go back and get a replacement. My replacement was well received, but while assembling the bed I noticed a small ball on the rope had come loose. In fact, there was nowhere to attach it, and it almost looked like it was broken. I wasn't rough with the product so I'm not sure what happened there. All in all a good cat bed, big enough for a 13 lb cat to fit underneath. I wouldn't trust a cat over 10lbs to sit upstairs.
